Its day 1 in Vancouver and we spent a agonizing 22 hours traveling. Although today has been more proactive; here’s how our day went-
In the morning: we went to Harbour House, Which is like a mini version of the CN Tower. There we able to experience a 360 view of Vancouver and its beautiful skyline filled with high-rise building and magnificent mountains. Our tour guide talked us through the different types of building their purposes. We were shown Vancouver’s massive harbour and the bridge that links North Vancouver to Central Vancouver. Our tour guide had moved to Vancouver about 3 years ago because of the bad economic downturn back in her hometown of France. She says she prefers it here in Vancouver because the people are more friendly, it’s really peaceful, and there’s lots of activities it both summer and winter.
In the Afternoon: we went to the Sports Hall of Fame at the BC Centre (British Columbia), had some lunch at a salad bar, then came back to the hotel to do some blogging
In the Evening: Wheelchair Curling! It sounds pretty boring but we all started to get into it once we understood the rules! We tried our best to support “team GB” but it was difficult as we were fighting against the predominantly Canadian crowd with their rather annoying chant “lets go Canada, Lets go!!!!” and their unnecessarily loud cow bells!
